Charlotte Gayle Miller, age 75 of Millersville, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born October 1, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Zeno and Zola Cowan Drum.  She and Joe Hal Miller were married May 16, 1960 in Millersville.  They were married nearly 55 years when he passed away April 12, 2015.

Charlotte was raised in Fruitland and was a 1957 graduate of Jackson High School.  She worked at the former Cape State Bank, the former Mercantile Bank, and US Bank, all in Cape Girardeau.  She was a head teller and spent 37 years in the banking business.  She and Joe lived on the family farm all of their married life.  Charlotte enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her canine family.

Loving survivors include; two sons, Lane Miller, and Rick (Rhonda) Miller, of Millersville; five grandchildren, Joe B., Natalie, Megan, Josh, and Jake Miller; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Miller of Millersville and Michael (Cathy) Miller of Jackson; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Morris of Florissant, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dean and Dan Drum.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.

Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery in Daisy.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to New Salem United Methodist Church or Cemetery in Daisy, or the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.

    Dear Rick and Lane,

    Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. I have such great memories of her during my childhood. She was always smiling and kind to me, Dana and Tom. I know that you will miss her deeply.
