Lawrence Calvin Heise

Lawrence Calvin Heise, 90 of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born September 14, 1921, in Egypt Mills, son of Albert Franklin and Louise Caroline Baker Heise. He and Dorothy Daume were married February 7, 1942.

Lawrence was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. He and Dorothy moved to Oak Ridge in 1955 and raised four children. Although he farmed all of his life, he also worked three years at Trail of Tears State Park, and ten years at Proctor and Gamble Paper Products, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Fruitland.

Loving survivors include his wife of 70 years; three daughters, Jeannie Dianne (Ron) Lohmann of Perryville, MO, Marrietta Jo (John) Bochantin of Murphysboro, IL, Margaret Ann Heise of Los Angeles, Calif.; a son, Jon Calvin (Scarlett) Heise of Baxter, TN; five grandchildren, Dennis and Larry Hennecke, Joshua Heise, Jennifer and Josephine Lohmann; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Connor Heise.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call Friday, March 9, 2012 from 4-7 PM at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 10, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rodney Pensel officiating, assisted by Rev. Dave Schaffner. Interment will follow in St. John’s United Church of Christ Cemetery in Fruitland.

The family suggests that memorials be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ or Crown Hospice.
