David E. DePung age 65 of Oak Ridge died Sunday, Feb 17, 2013 at his home. He was born Sept 5, 1947 in Independence, MO, son of George and Barbara Stottlmyre DePung. He married Angela Henry May 31, 2002. She survives.
David was an OTR truck driver for 42 years and he enjoyed his work. He restored his antique tractor and antique car for shows. He was very proud to have served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1970.
Survivors include his loving wife, Angela; 2 daughters, Jennifer of AR and Angel of LA; step-son, Ben (Brandy) Ponder of Frohna; 2 step-daughters, Hailey (Nick) Troncale of Republic, MO and Brooke Slinkard of Oak Ridge; 4 step-grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr and Mrs Don Henry of Oak Ridge; 2 brothers, Steven DePung of Chesterton, IN and Daniel DePung of Nashville, TN; sister, Connie Ramirez of Olathe, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm Thursday, Feb 21, 2013 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral Service will begin at 12pm at the funeral home with David Myers officiating.
Interment will be at 2pm in Missouri Veterans Cemetery near Bloomfield with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Southeast Hospice or Wounded Warrior Project.
