Daniel Eugene Stroder, 73, of Wappappello, Mo., formerly of Crump, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 4, 1939, in Crump, to Eugene P. and Thelma H. Strong Stroder.
Daniel was a 1957 graduate of Delta High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, honorably serving over 20 years in the U.S. Navy. He then worked as a bricklayer for various residential construction companies. He was a member of the VFW in Wappappello, Mo.
Loving survivors include two children, Daniel F. “Skip” (Jamie) Stroder of Delta, Mary Elizabeth Stroder of California; two grandsons, Tyler Stroder and Cody Schremp; two siblings, Jerry Stroder of Hillsboro, Mo., and Shirley (Jack) Young of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Saturday, March 9, from 5 PM to time of service, at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Memorial service will be Saturday, at 7 PM, at the funeral home, with Brother Eric Hodge officiating.
Interment will be at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
