Ralph A. Nussbaum, 70, of Gordonville, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
He was born November 28, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Emil and Esther Geiser Nussbaum. He and Sandra Kay Pfaff were married July 8, 1988. She passed away July 3, 2003.
Ralph worked many years as a plant operator at Pure Ice Co., in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of the Eagles Club in Cape Girardeau, TPA, and the Men’s Bowling League at the Jackson Lanes. He particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was always known to have a “project” going on.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Michele (Steve) Schabbing of Gordonville; two sons, Mark Nussbaum of Fruitland, Chris (Cheryl) Nussbaum of Perryville; a step-daughter, Sharon (Chad) Abernathy of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Shirley Medlock of Gordonville; and eight grandchildren; and many caring, supportive friends.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 16, from 4 to 7 PM, at the McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, at 1:30 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
