Helen Deloris Suddarth, 94, of Jackson, was called to her heavenly home Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Monticello House in Jackson.  She was born October 1, 1921 in New Columbia, Illinois to Ernest and Gladys Morgan Harper. She and Roy S. Suddarth were married April 23, 1940 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Helen was employed at the Small Arms Ammunition Plant in St. Louis, Missouri from 1940 1943.  She worked 26 years for the F.W. Woolworth Company in St. Louis, retiring in 1982.  She re-entered the work force in 1984 and was a teacher aide for 11 years for Word of Life Lutheran School.  She was a Sunday school teacher, a Girl Scout Leader and was the calendar and cookie chairman for 11 years in the St. Louis area.  She moved from St. Louis to Jackson in 2001 and became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  Helen

loved to travel and throughout her life-time, she and her father visited all 50 states and seven foreign countries together.

Loving survivors include four daughters, Sandra Duncan of Marion, Illinois, Pamela (John) Sander of Jackson, Deborah (Rudi) Hertline and Patricia (Fred) Kininson of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, Mary Helen (Roger) Stafford, Mark (Alexia) Sander, Bryan (Sarah) Sander, Courtney (Tyler) Sloan, Lisa (Tim) Sutherland, Lori Hertline, Anthony Kininson, Ginny Holderfield, and Linda (Leonard) Goggio; 11 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren, and one expected.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Ernestine Turner, and a brother, Ernest Harper, Jr.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jason Shaw officiating.

Interment will be in Our Redeemer Cemetery in St. Louis.
