Margie Ann Leine, age 70, of Daisy, passed to be with her Lord, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born December 19, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Leonard and Violet Unterreiner Yamnitz.

She and Doyle Leine were married April 1, 1967 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Margie was a 1966 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.  She began her working career in 1966 at the former Rozier’s Department Store in Jackson.  In 1983 she was appointed Postmaster of the Daisy Post Office, retiring in 1998 due to health issues.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She and Doyle have been members of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau for the past 15 years. Margie was a member of the Perryville American Legion Auxiliary No. 133. In her early years she was active in the Critesville Homemakers Club.  Cooking and gardening were her hobbies but Margie’s family was her number one enjoyment.

Loving survivors include her husband of 50 years, Doyle Leine of Daisy; twin sons, David (Tracy) Leine of Lake St. Louis, Missouri and Daryl (Dawn) Leine of Jackson; four grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Michael and Lauryn Leine.

The visitation will be from 9:00 am to service time on Monday, July 24, 2017 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, July 24, 2107 at church, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating.

Graveside rights will be private.

The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Andrews Lutheran Church.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson are in charge of arrangements.

    I was so sorry to see Margie’s obituary in the paper! I hope you find comfort that she is now in a better place and you can cherish the memories of the 50 years you had together.
