Marie Richardson Mize, 62, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 16, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, to Monroe and Leola Abernathy Richardson.

Marie was a graduate of the former University High School in Cape Girardeau. She had worked for Ceramo Company and Quality Packaging Company in Jackson. She really enjoyed crocheting.

Loving survivors include three brothers, Monroe (Sheila) Richardson Jr., Billy Richardson, and Wesley Richardson of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Catherine (Dave) McJunkins of Osage Beach, Missouri, Lois (Chris) Markham of Talahasse, Florida, Shirley (John) Simmons of Jackson, Elaine (Mark) Byrkit of Plano, Texas, and Betty (Wayne) Watson of Marble Hill, Missouri; and one grandson, Austin Murphy

Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving daughter, Regina Ann Mize and grandson, Justin Taylor Murphy who both passed away on August 6, 2014.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Private Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help assist with expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
