Richard R. Leimbach, 63, of Jackson passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born February 25, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, son of Rudolf B. and Melva I. Perr Leimbach. He and Kathleen Schmidt were married August 10, 1985.
Richard was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School. He attended Bailey Technical School in St. Louis. He owned and operated Richard’s Auto Service in Jackson from 1974 to 2011. Richard was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas; and served as a former Trustee of the church.
Loving survivors include his wife of 30 years; a daughter, Dawn (Tyler) Morrsion of Scott City; a grandson, Brayden Morrison of Scott City; a mother, Melva Leimbach of Jackson; two brothers, Keith (Debbie) Leimbach of Jackson; Kevin (Vicki) Leimbach of Altenburg; a sister, Alice Proemsey of Hillsboro, Mo.; a mother-in-law, Doris Schmidt of Altenburg; a number of brothers and sisters in laws all of Altenburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Marlene Leimbach; and his father-in-law, Marvin Schmidt.
Friends may call Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 4 until service time at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 7 pm, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Virgil Kelm officiating.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church and Saxony Lutheran High School.
