Arvo Timothy “Tim” Archer, age 72, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born January 30, 1943, in Metropolis, Illinois, son of Jack and Gena Dankers Archer.  He and Nellie “Nel” Mosley were married June 4, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri. She passed away August 30, 2010.

Tim worked at Lee Rowan in St. Louis before being transferred to the Jackson location in 1994.  He worked for the company over 30 years, retiring in 2005.  He was a member of bowling leagues at Jackson Bowling Lanes and West Park Lanes in Cape Girardeau.

Loving survivors include three sons, Tim (Becky) Archer of Jackson, Carl (Shirley) Archer of Oak Ridge, and Michael Scott Archer of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Terri Niswonger of Jackson and Crystal Kay Archer of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Jack (Judy) Archer of Troy, Missouri and Gary Johnson of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Mary (Charles) Bremer of Staunton, Illinois; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Deborah Lynn Archer.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Jaster officiating.

Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery in Daisy, Missouri.
