Tommy Wayne Shrum, Sr., 78, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Tommy honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the post-Korean War era.

Loving survivors include his wife, Bernita Arnzen Shrum of Jackson; and a daughter, Leslie (Jared) Caldwell and children Kameron and Kaitlyn of Hillsboro, Missouri.

A memorial visitation is from 12:30 p.m. to service time, Monday, April 24, 2017, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

A memorial service will held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating, and full military honors immediately following the ceremony.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the family.
