Vincent L. LaJoie of Cape Girardeau, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born August 1, 1955 in Cape Girardeau, son of John L. and Lillian McGee LaJoie. Vincent married Cathie Y. Seabaugh June 14, 1979.

Vincent was of the Catholic faith. He was a graduate of Jackson Senior High School class of 1974. He had worked at the former Tri-Con Industries in Cape Girardeau and most recently had worked for Cape Wilbert Vault Company. Vincent had served in the Missouri National Guard working with explosives.

Loving survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cathie; two daughters, Yvette LaJoie and fiancé, Dave Crites of St. Louis and Toccarra and husband David Lawrence of House Springs, MO; two grandchildren Gavin LaJoie-Smith and Skylar Presley; three sisters, Vedda Midura, Vera Spicer and Virginia LaJoie-Allen; mother-in-law, Helen C. Seabaugh of Jacksonand (2) step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Vincent’s life will be held from 4pm to 10pm. on Saturday, February 27th at the VFW POST 3838, 1049 N. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau.    Memorial donations in memory of Vincent may be made to the family to help to defray medical expenses in person on the night of the celebration.

McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of  arrangements.
