Dorothy Marie Seabaugh, age 84, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2019, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Marble Hill, Missouri, daughter of Cecil Gale and Lydia Welker Fox. She and Guy Seabaugh were married March 4, 1950, in Piggott, Arkansas.
Dorothy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. She was a cook and cafeteria manager for the Oak Ridge School District.
In addition to her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Guy Seabaugh of Jackson, survivors include four children, David (Donna) Seabaugh of Friedheim, and Martha (Verlin) Mangels, Anita (Jeff) Hahs and Roger (Bonnie) Seabaugh, all of Oak Ridge; 10 grandchildren, Dana (Brad) Craft, Dawn Seabaugh, Darin Seabaugh, Becky Bockelman, Jessica (Chris) Berner, Ryan Mangels, Jennifer (Andy) Spieler, Courtney (Ryan) Bierer, Adam (Cara) Hahs and Austin (Elizabeth) Hahs; and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Earl Sides of Jackson; a half sister-in-law, Annie Fox of Georgia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Roy Bedwell; stepmother, Thelma Fox Woods; a great-grandson, Luke Craft; three sisters, Alice (Raymond) Hahs, Shirley (Truman) Slinkard and Agnes Sides; and a half brother, David Gale Fox.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jason Shaw officiating.
Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran School, the Alzheimer’s Association or the Lutheran Home.
