Flora F. Wiseman, 101, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at her home in Crump.
She was born November 27, 1917, in Whitewater, to James F. and Emma E. Brase Williams. Flora survived her five siblings, Mildred Helderman, James “Jr.” Williams, Irene Trentham, John Williams, and Jean Green, who passed away just two days before Flora.
Flora and Earl Wiseman were married December 1, 1935. Six children were born to their union, J. E., Nelda, Nora, Elaine, Judy, and Earline. She and Earl had been married 57 years when he passed away.
Flora was a lifelong member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump and she especially enjoyed the song service. She was also a member of the Hesther Eakins Missionary Society.
She is affectionately remembered as “Little Grandma” and cherished spending time with her many grandchildren.
Loving survivors include four children, J. E. (Evelyn) Wiseman of Whitewater, Nora Garnett of Cedar Park, Texas, and Elaine (Vince) DiRago of Madison, Alabama, and Judy (John) Kinney of Marengo, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was anticipating the arrival of a fourth great-great-grandchild very soon.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two children, Earline Wiseman and Nelda Green; and her siblings as listed above.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, the same evening as the visitation of her sister, Jean. Visitation will also be held from 1 p.m. to service time, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at the church in Crump, with the Rev. Joe Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Proffer Cemetery in Crump.
