Jack Martin Piepenbrok, 76, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019, at his home.
He was born March 31, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Martin E. and Verla S. Seabaugh Piepenbrok. He and Beverly Lynn Seabaugh were married September 5, 1965, in Marble Hill, Missouri. They had been married 49 years when Beverly passed away March 19, 2015.
Jack was a 1960 graduate of Jackson High School. He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, attending SEMO and MIZZOU, graduating in 1965. He served honorably in the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant.
His career included residential construction; insurance broker; treasurer of Cape Girardeau County; the Veterans Service Office in Cape Girardeau; and Alderman for the City of Jackson.
His memberships included New McKendree United Methodist Church (lifelong); Excelsior Masonic Lodge in Jackson; Jackson Rotary and Optimist Clubs; Elks Lodge 2652 in Jackson (charter member); Swampeast Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson.
Loving survivors include two children, Andy (Tina) Piepenbrok and daughters, Emma and Lilly of Sikeston and Jessica (Eric) Jansen and daughters Annalise and Octavia “Tavie Jill” of Jackson; a sister, Jill (Don) Holekamp of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Michael Lee (Nancy) Seabaugh of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two brothers-in-law, Glenn Bill Seabaugh and Larry Wayne Seabaugh.
Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019, in Chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral is at 10 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2019, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Committal service and military honors are at 1 p.m., Monday, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Music Fund of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
