Due to the current health concerns, the family of the late James Bryant “Odie” Carter is indefinitely postponing the memorial gathering and lantern release that was scheduled at Deerfield Lodge on Sunday, March 22, 2020. If the gathering is rescheduled and we are notified of it, we will update our website accordingly.
Bryant, 46, of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019.
He worked for Proctor and Gamble since 1999. He was a former volunteer firefighter and assistant chief for the Gordonville Fire Protection District.
In addition to his wife of 21 years, Michele Carter of Jackson, loving survivors include a daughter, Katelyn Renee Carter of the family home; his mother, Judy (Don) Summers of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Kimberly (Cory) Brotherton of Cape Girardeau; a step-sister, Kim (Paul) Scheffer of Marble Hill, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Delphia (Gregory) Jameson of Jackson; his father-in-law, Mike (Marlys) Berry of Jackson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Memorials may be made to Michele Carter to help aid in Katelyn’s education.
