Larry Allen Hohimer, 70, of Jackson, passed away suddenly at his home, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
He was born June 15, 1949, in Springfield, Illinois, to Joseph A. and Anna Marie Roschanske Hohimer. He and Sandra Louise Little-Wilson were married June 15, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
Larry was a 1967 graduate of Lanphier High School in Springfield, Illinois. He continued his education in engineering in Kentucky and St. Charles, Missouri. He worked over 23 years for AT&T in St. Louis, drafting telephone designs, retiring in 1995 due to health concerns. He moved to Jackson in the late 1990’s and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Loving survivors include his wife of eight years, Sandra Hohimer of Jackson; daughter, Cyndi Cox and children Caitlynn Hensley and David and Corey Walters of Crystal City, Missouri; daughter, Annette (Dennis) Doyle and their family of Gray Summit, Missouri; a brother, Darrel (Jan) Hohimer of Springfield, Illinois; a brother-in-law, Allen (Judy) Little of Desoto, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Gwen Carver-Lalonde of Perryville, Missouri; a nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Hohimer and daughter, Ava of Springfield, Illinois; a niece, Lesa Hohimer and son Skyler of Columbia, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time, Friday, October 11, 2019, in chapel B of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Jason Shaw will officiate a memorial service at 12 p.m, Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
