Naida “Jane” Allen, 89, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019, in Flower Mound, Texas, where she resided the past several years.
She was born December 2, 1929, in Sikeston, to Wade Taylor and Sarah Elizabeth Adams Malcolm. She and Bill Allen, also from Sikeston, were married February 5, 1949, in Piggott, Arkansas. They lived in Christopher, Illinois, most of their married life. She was a Christian.
Survivors include their granddaughter they adopted and raised, Gracie Cathey of Flower Mound; grandchildren David Cathey of Flower Mound, Jim Johnson of West Valley City, Utah, and Sherry Harris of Springfield, Illinois; four great-grandchildren, a sister, Wadine Eaker of Sikeston, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, their son Billy Allen, Jr., daughter Susan Jane Johnson, and three sisters, Ruth McCollum, Peggy Williams and Mary McAfee.
Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. to service time, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral is at 12 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
