Patricia A. “Pat” Holloway, 77, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson.
Pat, an only child, was born September 22, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, to Wallace S. and Violet D. Christy Schneider. She and Ivan Holloway were married July 8, 1961. Two daughers were born to their union and they had been married 50 years when Ivan passed away December 4, 2011.
Pat was a 1960 graduate of Jackson High School. Her most treasured responsibility was being a homemaker, but she also enjoyed employment at the former Deal Nursing Home and the former Judy’s Dress Shop both in Jackson and the former Seabaugh Grocery in Oak Ridge.
She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson, the United Methodist Women, and the Elks Auxiliary in Cape Girardeau. She also assisted with Job’s Daughters Bethel #60 in Jackson.
Loving survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Holloway and LaDonna (Ron) Brown, both of Jackson; two grandchildren, Stephen (Casey) Oliver and daughter Kylie of Jackson, and Kyndle (Robert) Bayless and daughter Olivia of Jackson; four sisters-in-law, Debra (Bob) Heck of St. Charles, Missouri, Jo Gardner of St. Peters, Missouri, Judy Beattie of Burfordville, Doris (Randy) Woods of Benton, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Larry Holloway of Burfordville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; her parents; a sister-in-law, Wanda Varney; and brothers-in-law, Gordon Varney, Rodney and Allen Holloway.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 10:15 to service time, Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
The memorial service is at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the church, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.
