Ronald Lee Woodruff, 71, of Jackson passed away Friday, December 6. 2019 at his home.
He was born August 20, 1948, in Morehouse, Missouri, son of Samuel and Mary Clark Woodruff. He and Juavata Bequette were married September 29, 2002 in Paducah, Kentucky. She survives.
Ron graduated from Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1965 to 1967. Ron was an over the road truck driver owner operator for many years retiring in 2003. He was a member of Altenthal-Joerns Post 158 in Jackson, V.F. W. Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau, and the Advance Eagles Lodge.
Loving survivors include his wife of 17 years, a son, Kevin Woodruff of Jackson, a daughter, Angel Woodruff of Jackson, a step-son, Brad Clover of Jonesboro, Illinois, a step-daughter, April Eskew also of Jonesboro, Illinois, four sisters, Doris Seabaugh of Campbell, Missouri, Donna Lewis of Lafayette, Tennessee, Luann Peppers of Puxico, Missouri, and Marlene Eubanks of Kennett, Missouri.
Also surviving are one granddaughter, six step-grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 10:00 am until service time at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at noon, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jamie Hovis officiating.
Interment will follow at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, with full military honors.
