Ruth Ellen Holman, 70, of Jackson passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born November 4, 1949, in Cape Girardeau daughter of Oscar William and Naomi Leona Leimbach Moll. She and William Paul Holman were married June 28, 1986 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
Ruth was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was also baptized and confirmed. She was a 1969 graduate of Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton, Missouri where she mentored many students; she was a member of SEMO Deaf Association. Ruth worked 22 years as a proof operator in bookkeeping for the former Jackson Exchange Bank.
Loving survivors include her husband William P. Holman of 33 years; three sons Tyler Holman of St. Louis, Kevin (Toni) Holman of Essex, Missouri, Jason (Tammy) Holman of Advance, Missouri and one daughter Tracey Burney of Sikeston.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 12 nieces and nephews and one sister Doris (Harold) Mantz of St. Charles, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The visitation will be from 3 -7 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and after 9:30 AM Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 21, 2019 the church in Jackson, with the Rev. Jason Shaw officiating.
Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
