Ruth Mae Steinhoff, age 87, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019 at NHC Health Care in St. Charles.
She was born May 22, 1932 in Cape Girardeau, to Martin and Alma Macke Fluegge. Ruth married Melvin C. Steinhoff and he preceded her in death January 18, 1977.
Loving survivors include five children, Stephen C. Steinhoff, Stanley M. Steinhoff, Sandra (Paul) Kisker, Catherine Dukleth, and Christy (Tod) Stewart; dear Grandmother of nine, Jonathon (Samantha) Shankle and Stephanie (Sam) Carrow, Laszlo’ and Achilles Steinhoff, Bradley, Benjamin and Blake Stewart, Ashley and Kyle Kisker; beloved Great-Grandmother of three, Max and Mason Shankle and Elliott Carrow; three sisters, Esther Davis, Rosemund Welker, and Janice Newell; and many other loving family and friends.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Monday, December 23, 2019 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Funeral Service will be at 12 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Jason Shaw officiating.
Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
