Shelba Jean Lincoln, age 79 of Whitewater, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born January 15, 1940, in Cape Girardeau County daughter of Dale and Ethel “Irene” Sawyer Grindstaff. She and William Ray Lincoln were married June 18, 1960. He preceded her in death April 5, 2007.
Shelba was a 1958 graduate of Jackson High School. She worked in the shipping department for Columbia Sportswear in Chaffee. She attended Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Crump. Shelba enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially her grandsons.
Loving survivors include two sons, William Dale (Sandy) Lincoln of Leopold and Ronald Ray (Wendy) Lincoln of Cape Girardeau; two grandsons, Will Lincoln and Dale Lincoln; a sister Lois Elaine (Bob) Myers of Whitewater; and a sister- in - law Dorothy Wilson of Cape Girardeau.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew Rob Myers.
Visitation will from 4-7 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the funeral home with Rev. Joe Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in Lessley Ridge Cemetery west of Gravel Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form of contributions to Lessley Ridge Cemetery Association or Bethlehem General Baptist Church.
