Thea Marie Litchfield

Thea Marie Litchfield, cherished infant daughter of Nathan and Chelsie Colyer Litchfield, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. 

Thea was born prematurely on July 6, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.  She was little, but she was fierce.  Though her parents were saddened Thea was never able to enjoy their home, they are grateful she touched the lives of many NICU staff members at Saint Francis and Children’s Hospitals.    

Loving survivors include her parents, Nathan and Chelsie Colyer Litchfield of Jackson; paternal grandparents, Timothy K. “Keith” and Deborah Spooler Litchfield of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Scott and Donna Neace Colyer of Jackson; paternal great-grandparents, Joann and Jerald Spooler of Jackson, and Barbra (the late Everett Litchfield) of Peoria, Illinois; maternal great-grandparents, Claude and Norma Neace of Jackson; paternal uncles and aunts: Kyle (Susanna) Litchfield; Jonathan Litchfield (Amy Banda) and son Zachary; Kaitlyn Litchfield, all of Jackson; and maternal aunts and uncles: Phillip Colyer of Cape Girardeau; Rachel (Joshua) Schuenemeyer and daughter Meredith of Jackson; and Melissa (Kaleb) Huggins and son Emery of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her paternal great-grandfather, Everett Litchfield; paternal great-grandmother, Sharon Litchfield; and maternal great-grandparents, Woodrow and Ruth Dockins Colyer.             

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to service time, Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the church with the Rev. Mark Anderson and Nathan Litchfield officiating.
