Virginia Lee Morse, 78, of Jackson, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018, at her home.
She was born January 31, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, to Luther and Imogene Edmonds Wise.
Virginia taught school for 36 years in Sikeston, Missouri, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Connection Point Church in Jackson. She formerly taught Sunday school at the First Baptist Church in Blodgett, Missouri. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life.
Loving survivors include two sons, William “Dean” (Paula) Tetley, Sr. of Jackson, and Kevin (Gretchen) Morse of Fenton, Missouri; four grandchildren: William “Will” (Starr) Tetley, Jr; Kathleen “Katie” Tetley, Taylor (Andrew) Glueck, and Joshua Morse; two great-grandchildren, Carter Tetley and Carson Glueck; and a brother: Daniel (Rahe) Wise of Fruitland, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Missouri, with the Dr. Chris Vaught officiating.
Memorials may be made to Connection Point Church in Jackson or to American Cancer Society.
