Agnes Marie Boitnott-Goddard, 89, of Jackson, passed away February 26, 2026, at the Villas of Jackson.

She was born October 8, 1936, in East Prairie, Missouri, to Albert and Pauline Beauregard Stricker. She spent her childhood in Charleston, Missouri.

Following her marriage to William (Bill) Boitnott on July 2, 1955, they moved to Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Agnes was a member of St. Vincent’s Catholic church while in Cape. In 1972, the family moved to the Tilsit community and transferred her membership to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, where she served as a greeter/usher. She was also a member of St. Ann’s Sodality and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, holding several offices, including president.

Agnes worked at Del Farm, Southeast Hospital, and Plaza Gifts in Cape. Upon retiring as secretary of the Knights of Columbus, she worked at Stoverink Carpet and Interiors, later Phillips Carpet and Interiors, retiring in 2001.

Bill passed away in 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Agnes was happiest working in her flower gardens, baking, and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. In 2006, she moved to Jackson, and in 2013 she married Bervin Goddard at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Loving survivors include Bervin; a son Richard (Roberta) Boitnott of Atlanta, Texas; a sister, Judy (Al) of Arnold, Missouri; a brother, James (Melba) Stricker of Lakeland, Florida; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill; a son Gregory; her parents; twin infant brothers; a sister, Alberta Duchek; and a brother, Charles Stricker.
