Alfred F. Moeller

Alfred F. Moeller, Jr. age 85 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 23, 1932, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, son of Alfred F. and Anna Miermann Moeller.

Alfred grew up in Ste. Genevieve and completed his education by receiving a chemical engineering degree from Rolla School of Mines University of Missouri. He worked for Standard Oil Company for several years and retired from Monsanto where he was a member of the team that developed Round-Up Weed Killer.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Loren Boettcher officiating.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
