Alvin Ray Schenimann, 85, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, County, the son of Lorene Schenimann. He and Jesse Maxine "Pat" Craft were married Feb. 2, 1952.
Alvin worked at the former Florsheim Shoe Co in Cape Girardeau for 18 years. He then worked at Proctor and Gamble for 21 years retiring in 1991. Alvin was an avid cattle farmer and he enjoyed putting up hay and sawing wood. He was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church near Fruitland.
Loving survivors include his wife of 64 years Jesse "Pat", three sons; Lynn (Paula) Schenimann, Leroy (Cheryl) Schenimann and Gary (Lee Ann) Schenimann all of Jackson, a daughter Tammy (Charles) Kassel of New Wells and a former son-in-law Curt Smith of Jackson.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren with 2 great-grandchildren on the way.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a daughter, Mary Ann Smith.
Friends may call Wed. Feb. 17, 2016 from 4 - 8:00 pm at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral services will be Thurs. Feb 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with the Revs. Bill Minor and Richard Combs officiating.
Interment will follow in McLains Chapel Cemetery near the Indian Creek Community.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Wesley United Methodist Church
