Ashley Marie Clingingsmith

Ashley Marie Clingingsmith, 41, of Jackson, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born November 10, 1980, in Cape Girardeau, to Perry and Carlene Dick Clingingsmith.

Ashley was a 1999 graduate of Oak Ridge High School.  She was most recently employed at McDonald’s and Buchheit’s.  She attended Crossroads Fellowship Church in Jackson.

Ashley’s family affectionately remembers her flair and love of cooking.

Loving survivors include her husband, Drew Howard, and daughters, Carlaena and Autumn of Jackson; parents, Perry and Carlene Clingingsmith of Oak Ridge; and siblings, Deidra (Zachary) Ruesler of Oak Ridge and Rachael (Don) Larsen of West Plains, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

Drew’s surviving family include his parents, Roy and Gail Howard of Jackson; his brother, Brock (Lauren) Howard of Dexter, Missouri; sister, Alicia (Rex) O’Connell of Jackson and maternal grandmother, Betty Hunt of Benton, Missouri.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 18, 2022, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2022, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The Rev. Brian Anderson will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Zion Methodist Cemetery in Old Appleton.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home to aid the family with final expenses.
