Bama Altom

Bama Lynn Altom, 61, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021at Southeast Hospital.

She was born November 26, 1959, in Jacksonville, Alabama, to George and Judith Moore Brittian. She and David Altom were married in 1996.

Bama worked many years as a nurse aid at Jackson Manor Nursing Home. She enjoyed music, gardening with David, and especially loved animals.

Loving survivors include her husband, of 25 years David Altom of Jackson; a granddaughter, Leah Altom of Jackson; a stepson Adam Altom of Scott City, Missouri; three sisters, Brenda Knight of Jackson, Barbara Ballenger and Beverly Partin of Douglasville, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Bridget Brittian.

McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson was entrusted with Bama’s final arrangements. At her request, there are no services.
