Becki Jo (Busey) Gray

Becki Jo Gray, 61, of Jackson, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 after a two year battle with cancer.  She passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving husband and three daughters.

She was born March 26, 1959 in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Jerry and Pat Griffith Busey.  She and John B. Gray, Jr. were married July 19, 1980 in St. Louis.

Becki enjoyed life.  She always had a smile on her face, a kind word to offer, and always put others before herself.  She loved reading; listening to Christmas music; her morning coffee visits with her mother; gathering with friends and family; in general she loved being with people.

Becki was a 1977 graduate of Pattonville High School in St. Louis.  She retired from Jackson RII School District in May of 2020.

Loving survivors include her husband, John Gray of Jackson; three daughters, Patti (Cole) White of Kansas City, Missouri, Theresa (Tyler) Stearns and Colleen (Justin) Glenn of Jackson; her mother, Pat Busey of Jackson; a brother, John (Pam) Busey of Jackson; a sister, DeeAnn (Rick) Beine of Jackson; a sister-in-law, Kathee Busey of Jackson; and six grandchildren, Bailey White, Wyatt, Charlotte and Elsie Stearns, Brantley and Lenox Glenn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Busey and a brother, A.J. Busey.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Masks must be worn at all times while in the funeral home.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society for Renal and Brain Cancer research.
