Betty Carl

Betty M. (Treadwell) Morgan Carl, age 88 of Oak Ridge and formerly of Potosi, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

She was born November 26, 1929 in Picher, Oklahoma, the daughter of Monroe and Mary (McDade) Treadwell. She was united in marriage to Homer Lee Morgan August 27, 1947. Born to this union were two children, Faithrenia and Homer Lee Jr. Homer Sr. preceded her in death December 30, 1971. Betty married Percy O. Carl November 5, 1975 and he preceded her in death June 7, 2012.

Loving survivors include her daughter, Faithrenia (Larry) Crutsinger Sr., of Oak Ridge, MO; a son, Homer (Sue) Morgan Jr. of Elgin, SC; six grandsons; 10 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; a stepson; five step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren.

In addition to being preceded by both her husbands, Homer and Percy, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, a step son, a step daughter in law, and a step granddaughter.

Betty was a strong Christian who is now attending a joyful reunion with loved ones who have gone on before her.

The visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Joshua L. Morgan officiating.

Interment will follow at 2:30 pm in Sunset Hills Cemetery, in Potosi, MO.

The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
