Betty Jane (Massey) Mcclain

Betty Jane McLain, age 88, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 4, 1930, in Flat River, Missouri, daughter of Charles Otto and Mary Ann Reiss Massey.  She and Bill W. McLain were married June 3, 1989. He passed away December 6, 2008.

Betty was a 1949 graduate of Perryville High School in Perryville, Missouri.  She was a beautician for many years in Flat River and Perryville.

Loving survivors include a special friend, Robert Erlbacher; a step-son; a brother-in-law and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018 at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with the Rev. Tim Lee officiating.

McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
