Bill Weber

William G. "Bill" Weber, 81, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Bill was born October 21, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, to Edwin and Amanda Wachter Weber.  He and Fay Beardslee were married June 17, 1967, at St. Paul Methodist Church in Commerce, Missouri.

Bil was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.  He was a 1961 graduate of Perryville High School, and a graduate of the former IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship School in Cape Girardeau.

Bill was a 55-year member of IBEW Local #1 in St. Louis and worked over 35 years as a commercial electrician.  He was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals Baseball and the Kansas City Chiefs, and he especially enjoyed crop farming on his farm in Fruitland.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife of 57 years, Fay Weber of Jackson; two children, Todd (Sami) Weber of Alexandria, Kentucky and Amie (Dwayne) Kiehne of Jackson; grandchildren: Logan (Cody) Eddleman and children Wyatt and Lane of Jackson; Chance Kiehne (fiancé Lexi Hinkebein) and son Ryker of Jackson; Susan Bond of  Chaffee; Savannah Weber of Cincinnati, Ohio; Kaitlyn Weber of Marble Hill; Jacob Weber of Alexandria; two siblings, Barbara (Daryl) Weinkein of Joplin, Missouri, Sarah (late Rev. Walter) Patzwitz of Jackson and nieces and nephews.

Fay’s surviving siblings include Kay (late John) Allen of Benton, Missouri; Finae (Ray) Shoaf of Oran, Missouri; Carla (Harold) Tilley of Cape Girardeau; Karma Beardslee of Commerce, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and Fay’s parents, William and Katherine Beardslee.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 9:30 a.m. to service time, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

The Rev. Joshua Schmidt will conduct the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 10, at the church.  Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
