Bob Charles King

Robert Charles "Bob" King, age 75, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born January 20, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Howard V. and Katherine R. Headrick King. He married Terry Lee Minner on May 11, 1967. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Jackson High School. He served four years in the Missouri National Guard. He worked 42 years at Kasten Masonry in Jackson, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed attending Jackson Indian sport events, especially football games. He was a member of Covenant Life Church in Fruitland and a member of Teamsters. Loving survivors include his wife of 54 years, Terry King, of Jackson; two daughters, Kelly King and her life partner Lee Barnhill of St. Louis, and Toni Newsom and her fiancé Terry Span of Jackson; five grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two siblings, Howard "Gene" King of St. Louis, and Beth (Roger) Tucker of Perryville, Missouri. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Monday, March 21, 2022, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The funeral is at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Schario officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.
