Brandon Thomas Klinkhardt, 22, of Jackson, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, at his home.
He was born February 2, 1995, to Gary Thomas and Laura Marie Laurentius Klinkhardt.
Brandon was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, and was a graduate of St. Paul Grade School. He was a 2013 graduate of Saxony Lutheran High School, excelling in soccer under Coach Ryan Schweain. He also played for Southeast Missouri Soccer Club, under Coach Scott Goodin. When Brandon was home, it was mandatory the t.v. be tuned to the soccer channel.
Brandon had an appreciation for nature and a soft spot for stray animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed fishing, shooting practice, and spending time with his family and friends, and especially his grandparents.
To cherish his memory, Brandon leaves his mother, Laura Laurentius Klinkhardt of Jackson; his father, Gary Klinkhardt of Cape Girardeau; two siblings, Dawson Thomas Klinkhardt and Olivia Alexis Klinkhardt of Jackson; his beloved black labrodor retreiver, Aries; maternal grandparents, Leon and Helen Laurentius of Jackson; maternal uncle, Paul (Penelope) Laurentius of Jackson; paternal aunts, Sherry (Terry) Eakers of Cape Girardeau, Linda (Daryl) Farrar of Cape Girardeau, Lori Wenskay (fiance Jesse Keele) of Cape Girardeau; uncle, Carl Wenskay of Cape Girardeau; a maternal great-uncle, Merlin Richter of Florissant, Missouri; five maternal cousins, Zachary, Chelsey, Morgan, and Emily, and Tim; and seven paternal cousins, Derek, Deanna, Daniel, Amber, Dustin, Travis, and April.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Thomas Klinkhardt; paternal grandmother, Beverly Klinkhardt; and a paternal aunt, Debbie Sides.
Visitation is Thursday, February 1, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m., at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service is Friday, February 2, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Longman officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri or St. Paul Lutheran Church or School.
