Brenda I. Glueck

Brenda I. Glueck, 68, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sat. Sept. 09, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born June 2, 1949 in Sikeston, Mo, daughter of Edison and Myra Haubold Taylor. She and Virgil Glueck were married Feb. 27, 1968.

Brenda worked in the food service industry her entire life owning Brenda’s Place first at the former Bakers Big Burger on Spanish St. then at the Morgan Oak location until retirement. She was famous for her ½ lb cheese burgers and cat fish fridays. Brenda was an avid bingo fan and loved going to the casino to play the slot machines.

Loving survivors include her husband of 49 years Virgil, two sons; Kerry and wife Kelly Glueck of Cape and Ryan Glueck also of Cape, two brothers; Bobby Taylor and wife Peggy of Dexter and Terry Taylor of Champaign, IL, two sisters; Kay Ellis of Elkhart IN and Barb and husband Bob Greaser of Cape.

Also surviving are two grandsons Jordan and Dylan Glueck.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Tommy and Kenny Taylor.

Per Brenda’s wishes there will be no services at this time
