Brenda J. Randol, 81, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, surrounded by her family, at Ratliff Nursing Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 10, 1945, in Friedheim, Missouri, to Norbert and Luella Blechle Berkbigler. She was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, also the church of her marriage to Joe Don Randol on October 6, 1965.

After marriage, Brenda transferred her membership to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. She was active in St. Ann Sodality, often assisting with bereavement meals, rummage sales, and making cakes and pies for the birthdays of homebound partitioners.

Brenda worked 30 years in the Jackson R-2 School cafeterias and also cleaned private homes for several years. Her favorite hobby was quilting with her sister.

Loving survivors include her husband of nearly 61 years, Joe Don Randol of Jackson; children, Tina (Kevin) Harris; Julie (Mike) Poston; Jon Randol; and Sara (Bill) Bonney; grandchildren, Zac, Natalie, Jake, Luke, Randol, and Lauryn; great-grandchildren, Walker, Cypress, Maple, Mallory, Josie, Emerson, Beckham, Bently, and Brady.

Also surviving are three brothers, Charles (Barb) Berkbigler; Terry (Lanita) Berkbigler; Stacy (Linda) Sauer; a sister, LaDonna (late Johnny) Pfau; sister-in-law, Mary (late Larry) Berkbigler; and Joe Don’s sisters, Patricia (late Richard) Conley and Marilyn (late Larry) Buchheit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Larry Berkbigler; and Joe Don’s family, his parents, Luther C. “Butch” and Vanita M. Schlegel Randol; and brothers-in-law, Richard Conley and Larry Buchheit.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2026, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m., followed with a Rosary.

Father Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the cafeteria of Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Jackson. Paved parking is available on the south and west side of the school and gym.

If considering a memorial contribution, the family suggests the Immaculate Conception Capital Campaign; the Alzheimer’s Association; Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Scholarship Fund; or the donor’s choice of church or charity.
