Brenda (Crader) Sparks

Brenda C. Sparks, 79, of Jackson passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home in Jackson.

She was born June 5, 1943 in Burfordville, daughter of Russell and Delthia Eakins Crader.  She and Wilburn Sparks were married October 30, 1965 at Crump General Baptist Church. After meeting at the Jackson Skating Rink, they shared over 56 years honoring their commitment to God and one another.

Brenda was a 1961 graduate of Delta High School. She was a member of Cape County Cowboy Church and a previous member of First General Baptist Church in Jackson. After her children reached school age, she went to work for Jackson Exchange Bank, Boatman’s Bank and retired from Bank of Missouri in 2008. She had a passion for decorating and spent many years as a Home Interiors consultant helping others decorate their homes.

Her family will remember her being faithful and just, always setting a Godly and humble example for them. She loved to quietly serve the Lord, read the Bible and spend time cooking for her family. Her grandchildren will always cherish her BBQ meatballs and the time she spent playing games with them.

Loving survivors include her devoted husband, Wilburn; three children, Kevin Sparks, Garrett (Amy) Sparks, all of Jackson and Amber (Jason) Weaver of St. Louis; eight grandchildren BreeAnna (Adam), Bryce, Braydon, Noah, Grant, Elise, Alana and Tobias.

Also surviving are a brother R. David (Gail) Crader; two dear aunts Deanna (Vincent) Friedrich and Darlene Eakins, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in – laws.

She was preceded in death by a daughter - in- law Shelley Sparks and her parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 4:00- 7:00 PM at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Huffman officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Southeast Hospice.
