Carl Reimann, age 82, of Fruitland, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 23, 1933, at Egypt Mills, north of Cape Girardeau, son of Charles and Wilma Exler Reimann, Jr. He and Shirley Ann Dunning were married August 20, 1960 at Delta Baptist Church.
Carl graduated from Jackson High School. He worked for Ruesler Chevorlet and Brase Auto Parts in Cape Girardeau, and 19 years for Proctor and Gamble before retiring in 1989. He continued farming for many years after retirement and also repaired lawn mowers and tractors, particularly antique tractors. Carl enjoyed being with his family, taking "tractor drives", and driving his tractors in parades in Perryville, Jackson, and Cape Girardeau. He was a charter member of the Fruitland Fire Department, and former assistant fire chief.
In addition to his loving wife, Shirley, survivors include a son, Kevin Eugene "Gene" Reimann of Fruitland; two daughters, Carla (David) Aufdenberg of Jackson and Cheryl (Howard) Collins of Fruitland; seven grandchildren, Kyle Aufdenberg, Tommy Aufdenberg, Carley Pierce, Cierra Reimann, Collin Reimann, Coltin Reimann, and Caylee Collins; a great grandchild, Dezahri Dennard; two brothers, Paul (Carol) Reimann and Ivan (Luona) Reimann of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a sister and her husband, Marie and Don Huey.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2015 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Parry officiating.
Interment will be in Hitt Cemetery near Arbor, Missouri.
