Carolann Bernadine Beussink, 88, of Gordonville, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born August 27, 1936, in Leopold, Missouri to Elmer and Adeline Elfrink Clippard. She was confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Leopold and was a graduate of Woodland High School.
Carolann and Leonard George “Slim” Beussink, were married at St. John’s Catholic Church, on October 26, 1957. They later moved their membership to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. They had been married nearly 53 years when Slim passed away October 5, 2010.
Carolann was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress, making custom draperies and curtains. She quilted with the St. Ann’s Sodality group at her church. She made a quilt for the wedding of each of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, and crappie fishing at Kentucky Lake, often out-fishing Slim. Above all, she treasured her grandchildren and supported them in every way she could.
Loving survivors include her children and their spouses, Carla Beussink Morrill and husband Alan of Scott City; Tim and Debbie Ziegler Beussink of Gordonville; Tom and Michele Leimer Beussink of Jackson; Mike and Amy Falcetti Beussink of Jackson; a sister and brother-in-law, Vergie and Herman Beussink Jr. of Gordonville; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Clippard, Clarice Beussink, and Betty Arnzen; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Tara) Beussink; Nathan (Emily) Beussink; Hadleigh Beussink; Landon (McKayla) Beussink; Lexi (Hunter) Williams; Addie (Jeff) Womack; Colby (Sara) Beussink; Jane (Jake) Campbell; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Stanley Clippard; and her parents.
Visitation will begin with Parish Prayers and a Rosary at 4 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremations Center in Jackson. The Rosary will be led by Carolann’s sons. Guests attending the Rosary and Parish Prayers or arriving during the observances will be seated. Visitation will conclude at 8 p.m.
Father Randolph Tochtrop will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
