Carolyn Bechtold

Carolyn June Bechtold, 80, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Saint Louis University Hospital. She was born on September 22, 1946 to the late Ray and Martha (Castleberry) Berry. She married the late Bernard Bechtold Sr. on December 18, 1965 in Alton IL.

Carolyn was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

She was survived by her son, Bernard Bechtold Jr. of Jackson, MO; two daughters, Toni Bechtold and Patricia Bechtold, both of Panama City, FL., Sister, Pat Townsend of Bowling Green KY; Grandchildren, Bryan Bechtold, Chelsea Bechtold, Brandon Bechtold, Steven Trout, Nicole (William) Marvel, and Ashley Trout; and Five Great-Grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her Parents, Ray and Martha Berry, and her husband Bernard Bechtold Sr.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.

Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield MO.
