Carolyn "June" (Linebarger) Kelly

J une Kelley, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, September 23, 2022 at Landmark Hospital in Cape.

She was born June 30, 1938 in Sedgewickville, MO to the late Everett and Rita Looney Linebarger.  She and Curtis “Skip” Kelley were married November 6, 1955 in Jackson.

June grew up in Sedgewickville and graduated from Jackson High School in 1955, she married Skip that same year.  June worked as a bookkeeper for several companies including the Yellow Cab Co. as well as the Boy Scouts of America but she enjoyed working for Blair Industries the most and from which she retired.  Skip and June had five children that she was a dedicated mother to as well as her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.  She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her daughter Cindy Kelley of Cape, two sons, Chris (Julie) Kelley of Cape and Sean Kelley of Harrisburg, IL.

She is also survived by two sisters, JoEllen Schneier of Cape and Judith Fawley of Kogge Falls, OH as well as 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

June was preceded by two son’s “Skipper” and Jeff Kelley.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday from 10 am to 1 pm at the McCombs funeral home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Short officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairmont cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
