Christine M. (Pyle) Leonard

Christine M. “Chris” Leonard, 69, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Salem, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at her home.

She was born July 11, 1948, in St. Louis, to Lee Troy and Eunice Pevril Pyle.  She and Gary M. Leonard were married November 19, 1966.  They had been married 51 years when Gary passed away February 11, 2018.

While living in Salem, Chris enjoyed membership at First Baptist Church, where she was involved in the choir, sang alto in a quartet and played the organ for over 20 years.

She and Gary moved to Cape Girardeau in 2003.  Chris worked several years as a legal secretary at the Lichtenegger Law Firm in Jackson.

Loving survivors include her daughter, Allison Leonard, and grandson, Nicholas L. Barnes, both of Cape Girardeau; three siblings, Marcia Sue Nickels of Eldon, Missouri, Aaron (Joyce) Pyle of Festus, Missouri, Dee Ann (Alan) Muse of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Nadine Victor of Salem.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and two brothers, Michael and John Pyle.

A memorial service may be announced at a later date.
