Christopher Romaine Scharenborg

Christopher Romaine Scharenborg, 56, of Jackson, passed away Monday, October 5, 2020 at his home.

He was born July 3, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, son of Wilfrid John “Bill” and Kay Kathleen Seibel Scharenborg.

Chris was a former member of the Cub Scout Pack No 212, Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 11, and an Eagle Scout earning the bronze, silver, and gold palms .He was a 1983 graduate of Jackson High School and was very active member of the Drama Club. Chris was of the catholic faith and was a very trustworthy, honest, and dependable person with a big heart.

Loving survivors include a sister, Becky Scharenborg, a niece, Christina Scharenborg, both of Jackson.

Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents, John G. and Francis A. Scharenborg and Walter and Mildred Seibel.

The family has entrusted McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson for Christopher’s final arrangements. There will be no services at this time. The family may announce a Celebration of Life at a later date and time.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson to aid with Chris’s final expenses or to Boy Scouts of America.
