Cletus Leon Borgfield

Cletus Leon Borgfield, of Jackson, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on September 25,2026, surrounded by love. He was born on February 7, 1938, in Jackson, Missouri, to Elemer and Agnes (Loos) Borgfield. Cletus graduated from Patton High School in 1955. On June 1, 1957, he married the love of his life, Ethel Grace Gallup, in Patton, Missouri. Together, they shared many wonderful years and built a loving family.

Cletus worked as a delivery driver for Coca-Cola for 26 years before retiring. After retirement, he and Ethel continued to enjoy working together, driving for multiple car lots.

Cletus was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his loving heart, his devotion to his family, and the special place he held in the lives of those who knew him. He is survived by his two sons, Timothy (Lora) Borgfield of Jackson, Missouri, and Terrence (Christa) Borgfield of Porter, Texas; six grandchildren, Chelesie Egros of Porter, Texas, Cody Borgfield of Porter, Texas, Macie (Colin) Schlitt of St. Louis, Missouri, Cassandra (Eli) Embrey of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Reed Borgfield of Jackson, Missouri, and Catherine Borgfield of Porter, Texas; and four great-grandchildren, Bailey Grace and Bella Marie Egros of Porter, Texas, and Ethel Grace and Eleanor Jean Embrey of Carlsbad, New Mexico. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Patti Borgfield of Arnold, Missouri, along with several nieces and nephews. Cletus was preceded in death by his parents, Elemer and Agnes Borgfield; his beloved wife, Ethel; his brother and sister; and his granddaughter, Terri Ann Borgfield. 

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at McCombs Funeral and Cremation Center in Jackson, Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, Missouri. 

The Borgfield family would like to acknowledge and extend a special, heartfelt thank you to the Mark Grindstaff and James Tilley families for all of their love, compassion, and care for our beloved “POP.” Their kindness and support will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
