Cynthia Lynn "Cindy" Holloway, 60, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at her home. She valiantly fought cancer for 6 years. Cindy was born November 1, 1962, in Cape Girardeau, to Ivan D. and Patricia A. Schneider Holloway. Cindy was a 1981 graduate of Jackson High School. She and Jeff Oliver were married April 16, 1983, in Oak Ridge. They had a son, Stephen A. Oliver, born September 18, 1989 Cindy was a former member of Job's Daughters Bethel #60 in Jackson, and a longtime member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson. Cindy worked many years at Thorngate and retired from Horizon Screen Printing, both in Cape Girardeau. Her most cherished responsibility was being a mother and grandmother. Loving survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen (Casey) Oliver, and a granddaughter, Kylie Oliver, of Jackson; a sister, Donna (Ron) Brown of Jackson; a niece, Kyndle Bayless and great-niece, Olivia Bayless, of Jackson; paternal aunts and uncles: Debra (Bob) Heck of St. Charles, Missouri, Jo Gardner of St. Peters, Missouri, Judy Hicks of Cape Girardeau, Doris (Randy) Woods of Benton, Missouri, Larry Holloway of Burfordville; former father-in-law, Jerry (the late Phyllis) Oliver; and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Patricia Schneider Holloway; maternal grandparents, Wally and Violet Schneider; paternal grandfather, Harold (Juanita) Holloway; paternal grandmother, Patricia (Charles) Gardner; a paternal aunt, Wanda (Gordon) Varney; and paternal uncles, Rodney and Allen Holloway. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to service time, Monday, February 27, 2023, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Jimmie Corbin will conduct the funeral service at 6:30 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2023, at the funeral home. At a later date, Cindy will be privately interred next to her parents, at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
