Daniel Hale

October 8, 1952 — March 16, 2015

Bro. Daniel Hale, 62, left this world to be with his heavenly father on Monday, March 16, 2015. He was surrounded by his loving family at his home in Millersville, Missouri.

He was born October 8, 1952, in Piedmont, to Truman and Dorothy Edwards Hale. He and Cathy New were married June 30, 1973, in Clarkton, Mo.

Daniel was a 1970 graduate of Clearwater High School in Piedmont, and Southeast Missouri State University.

He served as pastor of two churches during his ministry: First Baptist Church Clarkton for 6 years and First Baptist Church Millersville for 25 ½ years. He had a heart for missions and served as a volunteer missionary in over 30 mission trips, both foreign and domestic. He had a passion for a Christian organization called Sports Crusaders, and served on its board many years.

Loving survivors include his wife of nearly 42 years, Cathy Hale of Millersville; two sons, Jared (Brean) Hale and daughters Madison and Marisa of Ballwin, Mo., Matt (Lindsey) Hale and children MaeLee, Maia, Larissa, and Bryce of Columbia, Mo.; his mother, Dorothy Hale of Piedmont; three sisters, Beverly (Tom) Wymore of Arnold, Missouri, Bonnie (Marck) Funston of Herculaneum, Missouri, Patsy (Bill) Sullivan of Olathe, Kansas; and a sister-in-law, Carol (the late Nathan) Hale of Piedmont.

He was preceded in death by his father; and two brothers, Nathan Hale and Coy Tigart.

All services are at First Baptist Church in Millersville as follows:

Visitation is Wednesday, March 18, 2015, from 3 to 8 PM and Thursday, March 19, from 10 AM to service time.

Funeral is Thursday at 11 AM, with the Revs. Bill Jetton, Jon Sedgwick, and John Vernon officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Sports Crusaders, 460 S. Summit Drive, Holt Summit, Missouri 65043.
