Danny Ray Bowers

Danny Ray Bowers, 59, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born October 19, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, to Grover Jack and Mary Mungle Bowers. His father passed away September 30, 2016. Danny was a 1983 graduate of Jackson High School. He and Martha Jones were married November 16, 1990, in Jackson.

Danny and Martha both worked many years at Rubbermaid in Jackson. Danny had worked at Rubbermaid nearly 24 years when he was tragically diagnosed with early onset dementia and had to leave the work force.

Danny enjoyed restoring cars, walking the dogs, and going to car shows. When he became disabled and stayed home, he liked to watch The Price is Right and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Loving survivors include his wife of 32 years, Martha Bowers of Jackson; two children, Daniel Ray Bowers of Altenburg, Missouri, and Danelle Bowers of New York, New York; his mother, Mary Bowers of Jackson; and two brothers, Randy Bowers of Whitewater, and Bradley Bowers of Jackson.

Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. to service time, Friday, April 21, 2023, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Ronnie Brown will conduct the funeral service at 11:30 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
