Darold Roe, 78, of Sedgewickville, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at his home.
He was born on December 1, 1946, in Sedgewickville, to John and Nellie Brotherton Roe. He and Frances Lukefahr were married on November 14, 1965, at the Presbyterian Church in Whitewater.
Darold was a farmer, logger, and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed deer hunting, running his beagles, and watching his grandsons play sports.
He was a member of the Cape County Cowboy Church and the Millersville Masonic Lodge.
Loving survivors include his wife of 59 years, Frances Roe of Sedgewickville; children, Kristi (Bill) Nitsch of Sedgewickville and Mark (Michelle) Roe of Festus; four grandchildren; Luke (Amanda) Nitsch; Jacob (Allison) Roe; Anthony (Emma) Roe and Camden Roe; great-grandchildren, Remi Bruenderman, Will Nitsch, Mason Roe, and Thomas Roe expected in July; a brother, John B. “Jay” (Betty) Roe; sister-in-law, Daisy (late Bob) Roe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Bob Roe; Verla (Roy) Stroder; Betty (Troy “Jake” Hobeck) Langston; Audrey (Leonard) Langston; and Marge (Paul Dean) Cook.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The Rev. Don Estes will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sedgewickville Lutheran Church Cemetery in Sedgewickville.
The family suggests that contributions be made to Sedgewickville Lutheran Cemetery.
